For this wedding in Delft, I start my day today with Alicia, who is getting ready at home in the city center for the wedding day. It's a cozy and busy atmosphere with their dog Raffe, her parents and family. After Alicia is fully ready and everyone has admired her in the wedding dress, I head towards Hotel Vermeer where Nikita is getting ready. Nikita is already busy at Hotel Vermeer, and Raffe also gets a nice bow to look good on this wedding day.
Alicia and Nikita have decided to see each other for the first time in the city center of Delft. After they embrace each other with joy and express their vows to each other (which they found more personal to do at this moment), we go to the center of Delft to take wedding photos. The weather is lovely, and today proves again that you can get fantastic wedding photos at any time of the day. The character of Delft, of course, helps, but Alicia and Nikita are also a beautiful couple who can't wait to say YES to each other.
We arrive back at Hotel Vermeer where all the guests have already arrived and are waiting for the bride and groom in the courtyard to start the ceremony. The ring bearer, Raffe, initially has some trouble finding his owner, but after running back and forth a few times, he stands firmly between the groom's legs, and everyone is ready to see Alicia come in with her father. A beautiful ceremony follows, with the beautiful city of Delft in the background, and after a resounding "I do", it's time for a reception where everyone can congratulate the newlyweds.
I love the little stories that can be found everywhere during such a reception and am always looking for details, laughing people, and crazy things that happen. At the end, we take some portraits with guests, and it's time for dinner.
After dinner, it's time to party, and even though I only participate for an hour, it's more than enough to capture some fantastic wedding party photos.
Alicia and Nikita, what a beautiful day it was. Thank you for your trust, and congratulations on your wedding!!
