Camping Wedding Weekend in North Holland
This was truly a unique wedding in North Holland—a whole weekend of camping-style celebrations, surrounded by tents in a beautiful forest setting.

More photos below, but first do a quick date check and I'll send you my brochure straight away!
Date-checkMy day starts at Damini's house, where she has been preparing for the wedding for a while. You would think that the preparations for an Indian wedding would be quite stressful, but nothing could be further from the truth. Damini is laying on a chair with her favourite music playing in the background while she is fully taken care of and her make-up is applied. In the meantime, her sister, the master of ceremonies, is busy helping to make this wedding an unforgettable day for Damini and Sebastiaan.
After my visit to Damini, I leave for Sebastiaan where he is helped with the preparations. Their turtle also deserves some attention and the necessary help is required with tying the tie of his wedding suit.
We leave for Plein in The Hague where the first look between this bride and groom will take place. A location that also has a lot of meaning for the newlyweds because Damini and Sebastiaan had their first date here. This is the first moment that Sebastiaan can see his bride in her Indian wedding dress. I think the pictures speak for themselves... :)
With a Tuk-tuk as transport, they drive through The Hague to take wedding photos in various places. Of course, we already have beautiful photos on Plein, but we also drive to the Malieveld, the Hofvijver and the house of parliament for some cool wedding portraits. We also quickly enter the shopping area The Passage for some beautiful pictures and after that ,it is time to continue to the old town hall in The Hague for the wedding ceremony.
Not only Damini looks beautiful, her family is also wearing traditional clothing for this special occasion. Damini is given away by her father, who logically finds it difficult to control his emotions. What follows is a beautiful ceremony in a unique old building with a lot of history.
After the ceremony, Damini and Sebastiaan are in for a big surprise. Not only are they awaited by a huge group of friends and family, but the party can start when it turns out that a Surinamese street band has been hired to celebrate the wedding of these newlyweds. While enjoying this cheerful music there is dancing, partying and we move slowly to the location where eventually a short reception and dinner will take place. We end the day with some drinks and the traditional cutting of the cake. I leave the newlyweds and the family alone as soon as the dinner starts for them.
Damini and Sebastiaan, I really enjoyed this unique wedding, thank you very much for your trust in me to capture your wedding day!!
