Today, a wedding is taking place at the wedding venue Fort Fier in Bussum. Sascha and Martijn are getting ready in the Kazematten, the place where soldiers used to sleep. The children are also dressed in their wedding attire, and once everyone is ready, it's time for the first look at the end of the gravel path.
After the first look, we head to the heath to capture wedding portraits. The weather is a bit unpredictable, and although the weather forecast did not predict rain, some dark clouds form above the heath. Fortunately, we finish on time, and the showers have already passed by the time the ceremony begins. It's a beautiful ceremony outside the Poterne of the old Fort. And once the vows are exchanged, and the signatures are set, Sascha and Martijn are officially married.
The rest of the day unfolds very relaxed. The reception takes place under the big trees where speeches are given, and everyone can congratulate the newlyweds. Even during dinner under the tent, beautiful words are shared, and there's even some time for a short stroll on the Fier grounds to take more wedding photos.
After a toast to the new couple and the opening of the party, it's already over for me, and I leave Sascha and Martijn alone on the dance floor.
What a beautiful day it was, Sascha and Martijn. Thank you very much for allowing me to capture the story of this beautiful wedding for you!
