I start my day today at Mark and Shuto's home, where Shuto's family has eagerly prepared for this big day. They have specially flown in from Japan to celebrate the love with the couple today. We quickly depart by tram towards "Het Spaansche Hof" in The Hague, and after a short walk, we arrive at the wedding venue, warmly welcomed by Mark's family.
A brief lunch follows, and once everyone has finished eating and the two families have gotten to know each other, there is time for the couple and their families to prepare for the ceremony. Shuto's mother is beautifully dressed in traditional Japanese attire and proudly walks beside her son to give him away to Mark. A lighthearted ceremony takes place in the grand hall of "Het Spaansche Hof," and with the kiss, the exchange of rings, and the signatures, Mark and Shuto are officially married.
During the reception, all guests have the opportunity to congratulate the couple and enjoy the beautiful weather. The dinner at "Het Spaansche Hof" is as fantastic as always (for me too), and after dinner, I take Mark and Shuto for a stroll in the city to capture wedding photos around the Passage and the Hofvijver.
Upon returning, we are warmly welcomed by all the guests, and the party begins! After an hour of photographing, I leave everyone alone and reflect on a successful day.
Mark and Shuto, what a wonderfully relaxed couple you are. Thank you for the trust you've placed in me to capture this wedding for you!
