Today's wedding in Belgium began at the bride's parental home. When I arrived, Ben and Lieren were busy preparing everything in the garden as many guests were expected to arrive soon to celebrate their marriage. Lieren was getting ready upstairs with her daughter and mother, while Ben was downstairs preparing. The first look took place beside the house, and when everyone was ready, we got into the car to head to Sint-Niklaas where the ceremony would take place.
The City Hall of Sint-Niklaas is beautiful, and the ceremony unfolded slightly differently from those in the Netherlands. Ben and Lieren were married almost immediately at the start of the ceremony, followed by some heartfelt words from family members, and then they exchanged vows. The marriage was celebrated with a ride in a cargo bike on the square in front of the City Hall, and we also took some time to capture some cool portraits.
Upon our return, there was time for the reception and an extensive lunch. We also scheduled an hour to drive to some cool spots to take wedding photos. Upon our return, many more guests had arrived, and it was already time for dinner. Ben and Lieren were warmly welcomed, and during dinner, there were some more beautiful words from friends and family.
Ben and Lieren, you made this wedding wonderfully personal by getting married on your own property. Thank you for your trust, and wishing you both a lifetime of happiness together!
